    The PK Booster Compost Tee from Biotabs pK Booster Compost Tee is a new product that works directly on plant health and yield by providing a large dose of phosphorus (P) and potassium (K) for a true PK boost. It contains a highly concentrated blend of plant compost, composted droppings, bat guano, and seaweed meal, naturally rich in microorganisms.

    What is compost tea?

    Compost tea is a liquid containing a large amount of organic matter that is produced from the composting process. It is useful for watering plants, whether they are indoors or outdoors. When the water used to make the tea is aerated, it produces oxygenated compost tea. The presence of oxygen promotes the growth of microorganisms and contributes to the production of a stronger, more effective tea that does not smell.

    Composition:

    • Organic fertilizer NPK 2-5-2.
    • Total nitrogen (N): 2.2% of which 1.8% is organic nitrogen from plant compost, composted droppings, bat guano, and seaweed meal
    • Total phosphoric anhydride (P2O5): 4.9
    • Potassium oxide (K2O) total: 2.2%

    To use the PK Booster Compost Tee in an optimal way, it is crucial to respect certain precautions. First of all, the shelf life of the product is very short and does not exceed a few hours, up to four hours. To prolong its effectiveness, it is therefore recommended to prepare it just before use. Secondly, it is important to pay attention to the quality of the water used, because the chlorine in the water can kill the micro-organisms contained in the product. To avoid this, it is advisable to use pre-ventilated water, which allows the chlorine to evaporate. If you use pre-aerated water, it is recommended to wait two hours after aeration before adding PK Booster Compost Tee to the water.

    Preparation:

    The preparation of PK Booster Compost Tee requires the dilution of 15 grams of the product in 1 liter of water. To obtain a fast multiplication of the micro-organisms, Biotabs recommends to add 5 ml ofOrgatrex to the solution. Then, it is recommended to let the solution bubble in a bucket equipped with a pump for a period of 24 to 36 hours, to allow a good aeration of the solution.

    After 4 hours of aeration, it is possible to pour the PK Booster Compost Tee on the soil, while trying to keep the compost tea moving. It is recommended to use half a liter of the solution per plant for best results.

    Directions for use:

    For indoor or outdoor growing, PK Booster Compost Tee should be used at least three times in the flowering cycle, during the 3rd, 4th and 5th week. It can be poured on the ground or sprayed on the leaves to form a protective layer. However, to avoid damage when spraying the leaves, it is important to follow a few tips. First, filter the PK Booster Compost Tee before putting it in the sprayer to avoid clogs. Then, spray the top and bottom of the leaves, preferably just before lights out or sunset.
