The tide table is a practical, easy-to-maintain and easy-to-use system for beginners or experienced growers, without taking up too much space or surface area for your indoor cultivation. It allows you to grow your plants at ground level. Irrigation alternates between filling and draining. Plants are placed on the tray in individual pots or in substrate cubes of rockwool or coco or clay marbles, themselves placed on a growing tray containing 2 to 5 cm of nutrient solution. The culture tray pump submerges the substrate in the nutrient solution. The nutrient solution submerges the substrate in the pots evenly. The water pump stops and the nutrients are discharged into the reservoir. This cycle, known as "sub-irrigation", starts again when the excess water is drained, and is carried out frequently and briefly. Clay balls may need to be submerged once an hour, while other substrates with better retention may only need to be submerged once a day.
This cultivation system achieves excellent results by oxygenating the roots properly and avoiding stagnation and the creation of residues. Nutrients are better absorbed, promoting good plant growth and improved vigor. For maintenance, remember to disinfect the hose, grow table and reservoir with bleach water, run through the system for a few hours, then rinse with water.
