GrowCamp's GrowWater is a patented irrigation system. The system can be used in all water inlets with a frame height of 30 cm.

Water tank
This system consists of a 15cm-high tank which is placed separately at the bottom of the water inlet.
The soil above is in contact with the water through perforated tubes that act as wicks.
The wicks (capillary irrigation tubes) draw the water and the moisture spreads throughout the water inlet.
Earth
There's room for 15cm of earth above the water tank. Instead of filling it completely with soil, you can opt to use a GrowBag.
But if you choose to fill it completely with soil, there will be room for your roots and so the plant will grow better naturally.
Base
The water is held inside a sturdy plastic bag, which has a drainage pipe.
The wicks stand on the plastic bag and support the base on which the soil rests.
It is therefore important that the underlying layer of the bed is firm, smooth and free of any lumps that could damage the plastic bag supporting the wicks.
It is therefore recommended that you place a plastic board, slabs or planed wooden planks at the bottom of the bed, or that you purchase a base plate no. FC6662.
Adjustable water level
The irrigation system features a patented device.
This allows the water level to be lowered to prevent plants from becoming too wet in cooler growing seasons or in the start-up phase where roots are not yet fully developed.
As we all know, plants don't thrive on too little or too much water.
We recommend half-filling the water reservoir until the plants have formed a good root system.
Otherwise, the soil tends to become too moist - especially during periods of heavy rainfall.
However, there's a big difference between the ability of different types of soil to drain water, so you'll have to trial and error before you find your ideal.

Filling with water
Filling with water becomes quick and easy using the large filling tube, which is equipped with a water level indicator.

The irrigation system is made entirely of solid plastic parts, which can be easily washed and used for years.
