The carbon blanco inerme :
- Soil maintenance : deep, supple, light and rich soil
- Exposure: sunny
- Sowing: in buckets or in the ground in pots of 3 to 4 seeds. Thin out to leave only one plant every meter and 40 cm between rows. Remember to add compost to your soil before sowing
- Rise: in 10 to 12 days in soil at 23°C
- Watering: water regularly but be careful, the cardoon fears excessive humidity. A lack of water will alter the taste of its ribs. Hoe and mulch to conserve moisture
- Associated culture: the cardoon appreciates the company of the beans. Its long growing cycle means that you can associate it with faster growing plants such as lettuce or radishes
- Harvest : from sowing to obtaining the plant, it takes 5 to 7 weeks
- Conservation: very good conservation
- Origin: it is native to the central and western Mediterranean regions
