Lemon basil:
- Soil maintenance: rich and moist soil. Loosen the soil to a depth of 20 cm before sowing with organic manure rich in humus
- Exposure: sunny
- Sowing: 0.5 cm deep in pots or in the open ground in rows 20 cm apart. Too much watering during emergence causes a melting of the seedlings
- Emergence : in 3 to 4 days in soil at 18°C. Requires light and heat to germinate
- Watering: water once or twice a week
- Harvest: pick the leaves as and when you need them.
- Conservation: freeze the fresh leaves or dry them in bunches upside down and put them in jars
- Origin: Basil, also known as "Royal Grass", is native to India. It has been cultivated in the Mediterranean area for several thousand years. It has always been used by the Egyptians, the Greeks and also the Romans for whom it was one of the symbols of love
